Polikarpov Po-2 F-AZDB/9 The PO-2 became famous as the aircraft flown by female soviet pilots in their daring nighttime raids against German forces.

40 km south of Paris is Musée Jean Baptiste Salis at Aérodrome La Ferté Alais. Every year at pentecost there is an airshow with more than 150 aircraft on display. This year it was organised for the 40th time. There are many historic aircraft, original or replicas like:

•F-AZPG Bleriot XI-2 (cn SA-29) This aircraft was built in the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis workshops in 1991 from original plans. It carries the markings of Adolphe Pegoud who was famous for being the first pilot to loop an aircraft.

•F-AZMS Morane type H13 1913 (rebuilt in 1990). With this aircraft Roland Garros crossed the Mediterranean sea in 1913 from Frejus to Bizerte in a flight of 700km (500 over the sea).

•F-AZFP/5 Memorial Flight SPAD S XIII C1.

•G-CDXR / 403/17 Fokker Dr.1 TriPlane it carries the markings (403/17) of Ltn Johann Janzen of Jasta 6, of JG1.

•F-AZVO Caudron C270 Luciole. •N28V Sikorsky S-38B Oza’s Ark or “The Flying Yacht” this is a perfectly build replica with partly original parts. Painting is an ode to Africa due to two flying adventurers Martin and Osa Johnson who flew such a plane during 1933 to 1936 while filming game.
