The ZAP16.COM team visited the International Aerospace Exhibition ILA2006.
From 16 to 21 May over 1.000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries came to the southern section of Berlin-Schönefeld Airport to display their latest aircraft and a wide range of products, systems and processes representing every area of this high tech industry.
During the first three days (16-18 May) admission to the ILA was restricted to trade visitors only. The highlight of the open days (19-21 May) will be the spectacular air show.
Apart from the A380 other attractions among the aircraft on display were the A340-600, A318, A310 MRT, Embraer Legacy 600, Antonov 140 and 148, Ilyushin 76, the Eurofighter and the vectored thrust MiG 29. The helicopters included the world‘s most up-to-date combat and support helicopter, the Tiger UHT, the NH 90, which is the latest transport helicopter in the world, the Eurocopter 120, 135, 145 and 155 and the Apache Longbow. And yet another highlight: the Ecureuil AS 350, the first helicopter to land on the 8.848 meter high Mount Everest.
