The site in Melsbroek became an adjacent military airport, which shares runways and ground and air control with Brussels Airport.
Melsbroek is the home base of the Belgian Air Components 15th Air Transport Wing. This Wing carries out many transports with its Lockheed C-130H Hercules, Airbus A400M Atlas and Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft.
